The community is very live and a plethora of mods are already around, most of them EXCEPTIONALLY WELL made, too, like the SOR 1, 2, 3 faithful remakes, the V4 remake, way of the warrior, rage in time and the Knights of the Round, Warriors of Fate and King of Dragons! Hell, they even made a golden axe trilogy mod, crossover with Streets of Rage! They even released the maker, so you can either make from scratch, or edit an already existing, mod. Even Electra and Mr.X are playable in this VERY POLISHED, refined and wonderfully made, game, which albeit amateur, feels and plays like a PROFESSIONAL work! A big remake of the Streets of Rage series, complete with all enemies and playable characters, even the secret ones like Ash, Roo, Shiva.

Some of them, like the V4 Remake with Rudra's Story, the Direct remake of the 3 original ones, the Rage in Time (streets of rage mixed with ninja turtles in time, rocks), WAY OF THE WARRIOR (some claim it is the best mod yet for this game), King of Dragons, Warriors of Fate or even Golden Axe mods, are like a dream come true! Try them too, please! Just take care to follow instructions, some need folders backup and manual copy & paste of files.An amateur group has been working for SEVEN years on this project.

As many others, i got Ultra Outraged when Sega ordered it to be taken down, even though it was a FAN-MADE project, not for profit/not for sale, of high quality and actually, so well polished and made, that feels and probably IS better even to those 3 originals on Mega Drive/Genesis!
